The Job Application Email Structure
Subject Line
This determines whether your email gets opened. Make it specific and professional:
✅ Good:
- "Application: Senior Product Manager — [Your Name]"
- "Marketing Director Role — [Your Name] | Referred by [Contact]"
- "Application for UX Designer Position (Job #12345)"
❌ Bad:
- "Resume" (too vague)
- "HIRING??? Please read!!" (unprofessional)

Include the job title, your name, and a reference number if one exists.
Opening Line
Skip generic greetings. Open with relevance:
Strong openings:

Body (3-4 Sentences)
This is NOT a cover letter. Keep it concise:

End professionally with a clear call to action:

Cold Emailing Recruiters
When reaching out directly to a recruiter or hiring manager:
Do:
- Research them first (mention something specific about the company)
- Keep it under 150 words
- Include a clear reason for reaching out

Don't:
- Send a mass email to multiple recruiters (they talk to each other)

- Follow up more than twice
- Send emails outside business hours (schedule them)

If you haven't heard back in 7-10 business days:
