Ireland (Dublin, Cork, Galway)
Irish employers use the CV, typically two pages, and follow a format similar to the UK. Lead with a short profile, list experience in reverse order, and add two referees or state they are available on request. Dublin has many multinational tech and finance employers, so ATS-friendly layouts matter. State your right to work in Ireland if you are from outside the EU.
New Zealand (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch)
A New Zealand CV is usually two to three pages. Include a short profile, achievements, and referees, who are often contacted. Keep the tone factual and modest. Trades and healthcare roles should highlight registrations and certificates. Mention your work visa status when relevant.
Singapore
In Singapore the common term is resume, usually one to two pages. Employers often appreciate details such as nationality or work-pass type (for example, Employment Pass) and notice period. Photos are optional, and many international firms prefer none. Keep layout clean for ATS and recruiter screening.
Across all three
- Tailor keywords to each posting
- Keep headings standard
- Avoid graphics-heavy layouts for online applications
- Save as PDF unless the employer asks otherwise
